I recently acquired the program Photoshop CS2. No doubt most of you have heard the word Photoshop even if you are not familiar with the program. Some of the photographs you own have perhaps been “photoshopped.” The program itself is very expensive, about $600. Now let me say that I would never even consider paying $600 dollars for a computer program, seeing as the price of an average desktop computer is around that mark. I’ll let you figure out how I got it without paying $600, it shouldn’t take you too long. Don’t get me wrong, I understand how powerful and useful a tool like Photoshop is, but I can’t understand why Adobe would need to charge that much money to turn a profit. Maybe I’m being nieve, and I guess I should stop complaining about a price that I didn’t even pay. Photoshop is about what I expected it to be, jam-packed with tools and somewhat complicated. I haven’t had it for long, but I hope to get at least skilled enough to make professional-looking photos, collages, signatures for forums, and maybe some web page design as well.
